Daniel Dubois defends his WBO heavyweight title against Fabio Wardley at London's O2 Arena on Saturday, 17 October. In their first fight in May, Dubois survived two early knockdowns and stopped Wardley in the 11th round; Wardley then triggered his rematch clause. According to The Ring, Dubois is 23-3 (22 KOs) and Wardley 20-1-1 (19 KOs). DAZN is showing the card on pay-per-view.
According to bet365 News, fight week starts on Wednesday with open workouts at Old Spitalfields Market, followed by the press conference on Thursday and the weigh-in on Friday. The main event is expected in the ring around 22:30 BST. The undercard includes Bakhodir Jalolov against Solomon Dacres.
"It's just going to be a war," Dubois told The Ring, while Wardley promised: "It's going to be a rematch — and it's going to be revenge." Promoter Frank Warren told The Independent the first fight was "like something out of a Hollywood film". According to Sky Sports, Warren wants the winner to face the winner of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua in 2027.
