The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said on Friday that Israeli forces are repeatedly displacing Palestinians into a shrinking part of the Gaza Strip. Over the past two weeks, the military has advanced westward beyond the so-called "Yellow Line", causing new displacement in Shujayea, Gaza City, and eastern Bureij, Deir el-Balah and al-Maghazi. Israeli forces "appear to treat the yellow line as a kill zone", OHCHR said.

Ajith Sunghay, head of the office for the occupied Palestinian territory, described the "nightmare of displacement" as "acute and chronic". According to OHCHR, the Israeli military has stated an aim of expanding its military deployment area to 70 percent of Gaza. According to Gaza's health ministry, at least 1,574 people have been killed since the ceasefire of 11 October 2025. The report cites no Israeli statement.
