Netflix has released the official trailer for 'Pride and Prejudice', including a German-language version. The six-part limited series based on Jane Austen's 1813 novel launches on 3 December. It is written by British author Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn, and produced by Lookout Point.
Emma Corrin plays Elizabeth Bennet and also serves as an executive producer, with Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy. Olivia Colman and Rufus Sewell play Mr and Mrs Bennet, Freya Mavor eldest daughter Jane. Further roles go to Daryl McCormack as Mr Bingley, Louis Partridge as Mr Wickham, Jamie Demetriou as Mr Collins and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine.
Netflix describes the series as a faithful, classic adaptation of the novel. A first teaser was released back in February.
