Two weeks before the final Nations League group games, England stages a German duel: Florian Wirtz's Liverpool host Kai Havertz's Arsenal on Sunday at 17:30 CET. According to Sport1, champions Arsenal top the table with 21 points, Liverpool have 15. Wirtz contributed to the recent 2-0 win over Brighton and the League Cup shoot-out win against Chelsea. Speaking to Sky about criticism of him, he said: "I couldn't care less what anyone has to say about me." He plays football because he enjoys it, he added.
Havertz has two goals in eight games, according to Sport1. Sportschau expects him to lead the line again – not for his goal return but because he gives Arsenal control. The Londoners arrive after a setback, having been knocked out of the League Cup on penalties by fourth-tier Fleetwood Town. Captain Martin Ødegaard said: "We must not feel sorry for ourselves."
Both attacking players are candidates for head coach Jürgen Klopp's squad, which he will announce on 5 November for the games in Serbia and against the Netherlands.
