In a fall update on the Assassin's Creed series, Ubisoft outlined its plans and projects. The key message: after the already released Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, no other remake is currently in active development. "We currently have no other Assassin's Creed remake actively in development," head of content Jean Guesdon wrote on Ubisoft's website, according to VGC. Ubisoft will keep looking at bringing back older titles, but its teams are focused on new settings and stories.

There is still no date for the next major single-player entry, codenamed Hexe, which is set in the 17th-century Holy Roman Empire during the witch hunts. The team is making "steady progress" but has work ahead; the next major update will come in 2027. The multiplayer spin-off codenamed Invictus is being reworked after a private test: players liked the parkour and team play but wanted more of the series' defining elements.

There is concrete news for Assassin's Creed Valhalla: an update on 5 November adds New Game Plus, letting players carry progress into a new run, along with new runes, a stash system and a Master Assassin outfit modelled on Shadows heroine Naoe. Ubisoft says the live-action Netflix series is nearing completion. Assassin's Creed turns 20 in 2027.
