On the second day of Lagos Fashion Week, 29 October, 19 shows took place in the tents at the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, Marie Claire Nigeria reported. The label Hertunba opened the evening with a black dress trimmed with red beaded fringe and woven black-and-white pieces.
Fringe ran through many collections: Oshobor showed a mini skirt with ombré blue fringe and a train, while Imprint South Africa paired fringe and feathers with wrappers for men. There was also plenty of red, for example at Sevon Dejana and Iremitidé, and brown at Christie Brown and Maliko, as well as crochet and skirts for male models at Cynthia Abila.
According to BellaNaija, the fashion week runs from 28 October to 1 November under the theme “Crafted”, linking craft, heritage and circularity. Sunday's finale is set to feature presentations at cultural venues across the city, including Lisa Folawiyo and Andrea Iyamah.
