Two weeks after its sale, the former Fashionette GmbH files for insolvency
The company that once ran the luxury online shop Fashionette is insolvent. The Platform Group sold it only in mid-October – and is pulling out of trading luxury goods on its own account.

BCR Online-Warenhandels GmbH, known as Fashionette GmbH until the summer, has filed for insolvency. The local court in Offenbach am Main ordered provisional administration, with Sebastian Netzel of Frankfurt law firm Brinkmann & Partner appointed as provisional administrator, TextilWirtschaft and FashionUnited reported after WirtschaftsWoche first broke the news.
Until two weeks ago the company belonged to Düsseldorf-based The Platform Group (TPG). According to FashionUnited, the sale to an unnamed German buyer closed on 13 October; TPG did not disclose a price. The company had already been renamed in July and moved its registered office from Düsseldorf to Offenbach.
According to the site's legal notice, the online shop is now run by Fashionette Plattform GmbH in Düsseldorf, whose managing director is TPG chief executive Dominik Benner. TPG said it is ending its own trading in luxury products to focus on its platform business. It also announced the winding-up of its insolvent furniture subsidiary Digitec Living Brands, saying neither step affects its financial figures.
