Trump cancels Kansas and Iowa rallies: 'I feel perfect'
Instead, the president plans a '72-hour sprint' of telerallies in nearly 20 states. In South Carolina, he backed Sen. Darline Graham, whose race has become unexpectedly tight.

President Donald Trump has cancelled weekend rallies in Kansas (Saturday) and Iowa (Sunday), AP reported. The Republican National Committee said he would instead hold a "72-hour sprint" of telerallies to reach voters nationwide – about 10 minutes each, compared with more than 90 minutes at in-person events. Asked by a reporter whether his health was behind the cancellation, Trump replied: "I feel perfect." Earlier this week he said "God didn't make your vocal cords to do a rally every day."
On Thursday Trump appeared in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He campaigned for Sen. Darline Graham, the sister of the late Lindsey Graham, who faces Democrat Annie Andrews in a tighter-than-expected race. Rep. Ralph Norman, who lost the Republican runoff to Graham, has openly criticised her.
Trump held 25 rallies in October, short of a goal of more than 30. A Friday rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, remains on his schedule. Former President Barack Obama, meanwhile, campaigned in Georgia for Sen. Jon Ossoff and gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms. The midterm elections are on Nov. 3.
