Daniel Dubois (24-3, 23 KOs) may have found his next opponent. According to The Ring, a fight with former world champion Joseph Parker (36-4, 24 KOs) for the WBO heavyweight title is being explored. The working date is January 30, with London's O2 Arena or Manchester's Co-op Live the likely venues. The Ring cites unnamed sources and stresses that the date is subject to change; according to Boxing News, ESPN has also reported talks.

Dubois made the first defence of his title on October 17, stopping Fabio Wardley in the second round of their rematch. Parker has not boxed since Wardley stopped him in the 11th round about a year ago. He was then suspended after a positive doping test; the suspension was lifted in August, and Parker denied knowingly taking the substance. He is ranked No. 6 by the WBO.

Only a few days ago Frazer Clarke floated a fight with Parker on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua on December 11. Neither fight has been officially confirmed.
