Ballerina headpiece: Elle Fanning channels Effie Trinket at Hunger Games premiere

The cast of "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" gathered in London on Wednesday, 28 October, for a fan premiere. According to Just Jared, the film opens in cinemas on 20 November. Elle Fanning wore a tea-length dress from Robert Wun's Fall 2026 collection in flamingo and ballet-slipper pink, according to Marie Claire: a peplum corset under a sculptural bustier over a multi-tier tutu skirt. The highlight was a pink headpiece topped with a ballerina figurine, paired with tulle pumps by Aquazzura and a diamond choker. She was styled by Samantha McMillen; t2 saw the look as a nod to the film character Effie Trinket.
Mckenna Grace wore a gown by Almée Couture from the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, according to t2. Its nude mermaid skirt features a three-dimensional mountain landscape with purple floral vines, drawing on the Quarter Quell arena. Glenn Close wore Simone Rocha: a glossy olive-green gown with an oversized bow at the low waist, with long black leather gloves and a cane. Whitney Peak wore Chanel Haute Couture and Joseph Zada wore Gucci.
Earlier, members of the cast had visited the studios of the US programme "Today". There, Mckenna Grace wore an archival Betsey Johnson piece and Joseph Zada a look by Public School, according to Tom + Lorenzo. According to Just Jared, Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes and Kieran Culkin also attended the London premiere, along with director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson.
