A geometric bob and a wig trick: Meghann Fahy and Julianne Hough change their look
Actress Meghann Fahy has been seen in New York with a sharp, unlayered bob. Julianne Hough surprised viewers as Shakira with a long mane – then revealed it was a wig.

Actress Meghann Fahy was photographed in New York on 26 October with a new haircut. According to Elle, she has swapped her usual mid-length waves for a blunt, geometric bob with no layers, slightly longer at the front and sides than at the back, with subtle caramel highlights. Hairstylist Garren, co-founder of the brand R+Co, told Elle the cut echoes styles of the 1990s and 2000s: "This cut works best on straight hair or hair with a slight wave."
Julianne Hough appeared as Shakira on the Horror Movie Night episode of "Dancing with the Stars" on 27 October, with long, voluminous blonde hair. According to HELLO!, it was a wig for which she had enlisted her hairstylist Riawna Capri. On Instagram, Hough wrote: "Plot twist: It's a wig #dwts."
Hough had previously said she wants to shave her head one day. On the podcast "Not Skinny but Not Fat", she said, according to HELLO!: "I want to go to Bhutan and shave my head with a monk." She described her hair as an "outward expression of whatever I go through internally".
