Berlin-Hellersdorf: Man attacked and injured in park
A man was attacked in Hellwichstorp park on Wednesday afternoon. Police say he suffered several stab or cut wounds; his life is not in danger.

A man was attacked and injured on Wednesday afternoon in Hellwichstorp park in Berlin's Hellersdorf neighbourhood. According to media reports, police and paramedics were alerted at around 4:20 p.m. Paramedics treated the injured man at the scene and then took him to hospital.
A spokesperson at the police situation centre confirmed to the Tagesspiegel that the man had suffered several stab or cut wounds and was not in a life-threatening condition. Police initially did not comment on the background. According to media reports, the attack was preceded by a dispute between several people, during which one of them allegedly drew a knife.
Police have so far neither confirmed nor denied these details. No arrest was initially reported; according to media reports, the attacker is at large.
