The winner of the YouTube casting series "Angels Among Us" has been named: Solange Omon, 21, born in Cameroon, is Victoria's Secret's newest Angel. She was revealed during Sunday's show in Los Angeles and made her runway debut halfway through the broadcast in gold wings. The other finalists were Andreína Martínez from the Dominican Republic and Tatyana Tinsley.
Omon lives in Maine, where, according to People, she worked as a program coordinator for nonprofits helping young people with job applications and climate education. The search, which drew thousands of entrants, travelled through Los Angeles, Miami, Houston and Chicago and was led by chief creative officer Adam Selman.
Her prize is a contract with IMG Models. "This is the life that I want to have," she told People. Chief executive Hillary Super praised her spark and individuality. The casting series "Angels Among Us" is available on Victoria's Secret's official YouTube channel.
