Bayern Munich are sweating on Manuel Neuer ahead of Wednesday's Champions League home game against Arsenal. The 40-year-old goalkeeper missed the 3-3 draw in Stavanger and Saturday's 6-1 win over RB Leipzig with a foot problem, with Jonas Urbig deputising in both games. Board member for sport Max Eberl said it was "just a bit of fluid on the foot" and that "we'll see if he'll be ready by Wednesday."
Jamal Musiala, who injured his thigh in the warm-up before Germany's 1-1 draw in the Netherlands, will not feature. "I don't think he'll be ready for the game against Arsenal," Eberl said, according to bundesliga.com, adding that Musiala would be back in October.
Coach Vincent Kompany was also unwell during the Leipzig win. He watched from the bench while assistants Aaron Danks and Rene Maric directed the team from the touchline, and he skipped media duties. Eberl said he assumed it would not be a problem for Kompany to be with the team on Wednesday.
