Hamburger SV beat VfB Stuttgart 1-0 on Saturday. The goal came in the 88th minute when Miro Muheim fired from about 25 meters after a pass from Zakaria El Ouahdi. It was a third straight Bundesliga win for coach Merlin Polzin's team after a season start of three losses and a 0-12 goal record.
The game in front of 57,000 fans stayed open for a long time. Deniz Undav hit the post for Stuttgart in the 38th minute, while Yussuf Poulsen hit the outside of the post (48th) and the crossbar (53rd) for Hamburg. "It feels incredible for me and I haven't really taken it in yet," said Muheim, who also scored the winner in the victory at Hoffenheim.
Hamburg are ninth with nine points. Sebastian Hoeneß's Stuttgart are 13th with six points from two wins and four losses. Stuttgart face Atlético Madrid on Tuesday.
