Ahead of Saturday's OKTAGON 95 main event at the arena in Karlovy Vary, Dominik Humburger is in fighting mood. On facing former middleweight champion Patrik Kincl, the 30-year-old said in an OKTAGON interview: "A generational change. It's a process nobody can stop." He wants "to experience it one day, holding the belt and saying I'm the champion".

The twist: Kincl was the matchmaker of the 2021 event at which Humburger made his pro debut. "It could be called ingratitude. I could be offended that I help him get his career going," the 37-year-old said of the callout – adding: "But I would have done the same." He sees it as boldness and does not hold it against Humburger. OKTAGON promoter Ondřej Novotný: "For both of them it's a fight for everything."

In OKTAGON's rankings Kincl (30-12) is No. 2 and Humburger (12-3) No. 3. Ahead of the winner are champion Krzysztof Jotko, interim champion Makhmud Muradov and Kerim Engizek; no title shot has been promised.
