Ahead of Friday's PFL Chicago main event at Wintrust Arena, Thursday's official weigh-ins got tight for Liz Carmouche: her team shaved off her remaining hair during the session, after which the scale read exactly 125 pounds (56.7 kg) – the flyweight limit. Challenger Jena Bishop weighed 124.6 pounds. The PFL posted the scene as a video.
At stake is the inaugural PFL women's flyweight world title, scheduled for five rounds. Carmouche (26-8) knocked out Bishop (11-3) in the third round of the 2025 World Tournament final and has won her last four fights; Bishop has won both her bouts since by submission.
In the build-up, Carmouche told Ariel Helwani about a sparring session at her gym in San Diego: she submitted Bishop on the ground, "and she cried that she lost." All 13 bouts are on – including the co-main event between Timur Khizriev (145.4 pounds) and Gabriel Braga (145.8).
