The long-awaited clash between unbeaten WBO champions Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson is taking shape. In a late-night exchange on X, Stevenson accepted Haney's offer of a 145lb catchweight: "145.0 U GOT A DEAL DEEHOE!!!!", he wrote, according to Boxing News. The Ring reported that Stevenson had previously wanted 144lb with a next-day rehydration clause, which Haney rejected.

Haney's father and trainer Bill Haney named 28 November in Atlanta as the target. "The offer is on the table for him to fight in November," he said, according to The Ring; the fight has not been officially confirmed. Stevenson (25-0) has held the WBO super-lightweight title since outpointing Teofimo Lopez in January and is expected to make his Zuffa Boxing debut; Haney (33-0) won the WBO welterweight title in Riyadh in November 2025.

Oleksandr Usyk sees Stevenson as having the edge, Boxing News reported: he told Fighthype he believes Stevenson has the tools to beat the naturally bigger Haney.
