Rapper Samy Deluxe and DJ Desue have released 'Toast', the first official single from a joint album project, the EVENTIM Magazin reported on 9 October. The album is due in January 2027 and would be Samy Deluxe's tenth studio album. The report did not yet name a title for the record. Around three weeks earlier, the duo had released a prologue titled 'One Man Band' as a teaser.
'Toast' is described as a love letter to hip-hop and to the elements that have shaped the genre since its beginnings. The focus is on the craft of rapping and DJing: Samy's rhymes meet Desue's beats and scratches, which, according to the report, are not decoration but a central part of the sound. The two musicians have worked together for many years. No concert dates for the joint project have been announced so far.
