A snack bar employee was injured with a knife during the night in Berlin's Wedding district. Police said on Sunday that the 28-year-old got into an argument with another man outside the snack bar at around 2 am. That man allegedly called four other men over, and the group then tried to beat the employee. One of the men allegedly drew a knife and stabbed him. The 28-year-old suffered a stab wound to the buttocks and was admitted to hospital as an inpatient.
According to police, the suspects fled. Five men were involved in total: the man with whom the employee had argued and the four he allegedly called over. There was initially no information on arrests or on the men's identity, age or appearance.
