A dispute between children escalated in Berlin's Marzahn district. According to police, a ten-year-old boy and a friend were in a car park on Liebensteiner Strasse at around 6 pm on Saturday when three other children aged twelve and seven arrived. After an argument, the 12-year-old allegedly pushed the ten-year-old to the ground. His seven-year-old brother then allegedly kicked him in the head, damaging his glasses. Another seven-year-old is said to have stood by. When witnesses intervened, the group ran off.

Later, two women recognised the two alleged attackers and held them until police arrived. The 12-year-old allegedly elbowed one of the women and kicked the other in the leg. The ten-year-old was taken to hospital with a head injury. According to police, the children's father was present during their questioning, to which he had consented. A specialist unit of Police Directorate 3 (East) is investigating simple and aggravated bodily harm.
