Givenchy presented its Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week on 2 October. For creative director Sarah Burton, who previously spent more than 25 years at Alexander McQueen, it is her third season at the house, according to Who What Wear. In the show notes she describes "a wardrobe to bring precision and simplicity to dressing". Givenchy has published the show on YouTube.

Beyond black and white, Burton turned to red, yellow, blue and green. W Magazine lists jewel-toned satins and silks, leather trousers, colour-blocked dresses with cutout bralettes and very short leather shorts worn with shirting. Fringed gowns were inspired by artist Alexander Calder's suspended circus figures. A pinstriped blazer came without sleeves, which were pinned across the chest.

The bags were designed by Marco De Vincenzo, the new head of leather goods, including crescent-shaped styles with silver-toned interiors. Burton reworked the shark boot, introduced by Riccardo Tisci in fall 2012, with a front zip worn open. According to W Magazine, writer Constance Debré walked the show in an ultra-slim suit.
