Mugler showed its Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection in Paris on 4 October. Titled "Naturalia X", it completes creative director Miguel Castro Freitas's trilogy, which began with "Stardust Aphrodite" on seduction and glamour and continued with "The Commander" on power and authority. This time, according to Vanity Teen, the focus is instinct and the primal. The fashion house has published the show on YouTube.
The collection pairs tailoring with eveningwear. Animal prints and surfaces suggesting scales, skin, insects and shells define the looks, while feathers are worn as extensions of the body. RunwayLive describes corset construction that gives the torso a firm outline, raised floral appliqué that catches the light, fringe that breaks the hem into many separately moving parts, and embossed animal patterns.
The entrance itself became a performance: according to Vanity Teen, Alexis Stone appeared at the door as Thierry Mugler – in the magazine's view the most accurate introduction to the collection. Writer Luca Imbimbo called "Naturalia X" the final chapter of Freitas's "trilogy of glorified clichés", in which the designer deliberately exaggerates familiar Mugler codes.
