Dockworkers and port workers in 110 ports in 22 countries and regions went on strike on Friday, according to the organisers. The international day of action under the slogan "Dockworkers do not work for war" was organised by more than 25 unions and aims to disrupt arms shipments to Israel. There were 24-hour strikes in France, Italy, India, Greece and Turkey, and shorter ones in Morocco, Cyprus and other ports. Italy's USB union called a general strike.

According to the initiative No Harbour for Genocide, 315 shipments of components for Israeli arms maker Elbit Systems were tracked through 56 ports between August 2025 and September 2026. "Weapons need transport, infrastructure, and workers' hands to reach their destination," said Greek union leader Markos Bekris. The organisers' figures have not been independently verified; the report cites no Israeli reaction.
