Frosinone cruised to a 5-1 home win over Lecce at the Stadio Benito Stirpe in round nine of Serie A on Thursday. Matteo Cichella put the hosts ahead in the 25th minute and Giacomo Calo doubled the lead with a penalty in first-half stoppage time. Antonio Raimondo (59th) and Daniel Birligea (72nd) extended the lead after the break.

Joel Monteiro pulled one back for Lecce in the 82nd minute before Birligea completed the scoring with his second goal four minutes into stoppage time.

According to the league, it was Frosinone's fourth straight Serie A home win, a club record in the top flight. Lecce coach Eusebio Di Francesco, who managed Frosinone in 2023-24, suffered a heavy defeat on his return. His side had taken only three points from their previous four games.
