Inditex brand Massimo Dutti is back in New York. It has opened a flagship store for womenswear and menswear at 575 Broadway in SoHo, FashionUnited and Fashion Network report. It is the brand's second store in the US, after the Aventura Mall location in Miami, which opened at the end of 2024. The red-brick building with stone mouldings has entrances on Broadway and on parallel Mercer Street; it was previously occupied by the H&M brand & Other Stories. The original exposed cast-iron columns have been preserved.

Massimo Dutti has been in New York before: a Fifth Avenue store opened in October 2012 and closed in early 2019. The return comes with a cultural programme. In an independent space in SoHo, the brand is showing the exhibition “Patti Smith by Steven Sebring”, featuring unpublished photographs the photographer took of the musician from around 1995; according to Fashion Network, it runs until 25 October. “Patti Smith's voice and vision are inseparably woven into New York's cultural identity,” the management said.

The US is Inditex's second-largest market after Spain. Massimo Dutti had 511 points of sale at the end of fiscal 2025, down from 528 a year earlier, according to group figures. Sales rose by around three per cent to 2.02 billion euros in 2025, and by 10.4 per cent to 988 million euros in the first half of 2026. Recent openings include Copenhagen, Seoul, Rome and Milan; a Shanghai flagship is planned next.
