Bulgarians in Germany can vote on Sunday, October 25, for their country's president and vice president. The Bulgarian Consulate General in Düsseldorf announced on Friday on the Foreign Ministry's website that polling stations will open in the Düsseldorf consular district; the ministry publishes their addresses in a separate list. Voting runs from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. Voters still in line at 8 p.m. may cast their ballots if they hand their ID to the electoral commission, but no later than 9 p.m. In the night before election Sunday, clocks in Germany and Bulgaria will also go back to winter time.

Voters who registered in advance and were confirmed appear on the voter lists published on the Foreign Ministry's website. Those who did not register can still vote but must sign a declaration on an official form at the polling station confirming that they are eligible, have not voted and will not vote elsewhere. For Dortmund, the consulate has practical advice: the polling station there is on the busy multi-lane inner-city ring road known as the Wall. Parking nearby is limited, and stopping or short-term parking on the Wall is not possible. Voters are advised to use nearby paid car parks.
