The MarediModa trade fair is returning to Cannes: its 24th edition runs from 27 to 29 October 2026 at the Palais des Festivals. More than 100 collections of fabrics and trims for the Spring/Summer 2028 season will be on show, with a focus on beachwear, underwear and bodywear as well as athleisure. The organiser had previously tried out formats in Miami and Milan. “We return to Cannes following our initiatives in Miami and Milan,” said president Claudio Taiana. Amid widespread uncertainty, he described the fair as “a safe harbour in terms of product quality, ethics, innovation and creativity.”
The trend programme is curated by forecaster David Shah and his team. It covers five creative directions across beachwear, bodywear and athleisure. The overarching concept, “Ocean Vibes”, draws on music and contemporary subcultures, with an emphasis on individuality, optimism and personal expression. A live presentation combining music, imagery and technology is scheduled for 6pm on 27 October.
The official partner is The Lycra Company, which is marking the 80th anniversary of the bikini with the project “Designed to Move. Built to Last”, developed with fabric makers Carvico and Jersey Lomellina; it includes an exhibition of bikinis from the 1960s to today. The emerging-talent competition “The Link 2026” drew 133 submissions, more than last year. Its finalists will exhibit and present their work in a show on the evening of 28 October.
