Aaron Pico wants to be more composed at UFC 333 than in the past. "I was fighting just too out of control," the former Bellator fighter said at media day, according to Sherdog. Now he wants to "go in there, do what I have to do, get the win and go home" – and enjoy the fight more.

Pico credits the change to coach Roberto Barreiro, with whom he trained in Morocco. He speaks of a "beginner mentality": rather than chasing quick finishes, he wants to gain experience. According to Sherdog, Pico (14-5) has won 11 of his 14 fights by finish. He was knocked out in his UFC debut in 2025 and later earned his first UFC win against Patrício Freire.

In Abu Dhabi, Pico faces Losene Keita (17-2) at featherweight. At Friday's weigh-ins Pico came in at 145.5 pounds and Keita at 146.
