UFC 333: Both title fights are set – Caliari misses weight by 4.5 pounds

At the official UFC 333 weigh-ins in Abu Dhabi, all four title fighters made weight. Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski came in at 144.5 pounds, challenger Movsar Evloev at exactly 145. At bantamweight, champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili both weighed 135 pounds ahead of their third meeting.

The only miss came from strawweight Nicolle Caliari, who weighed 120.5 pounds – 4.5 over the 116-pound non-title limit. According to MMA Weekly she forfeits 30 percent of her purse, and her bout with Iasmin Lucindo (115) goes ahead at catchweight. Dvalishvili said in a video on X that he regained 19 pounds in five hours.

UFC 333 takes place on Saturday at Etihad Arena. According to Middle Easy, the early prelims start at 10 a.m. ET and the main card at 2 p.m. ET. The UFC is showing the ceremonial weigh-ins and final face-offs on its YouTube channel.
