The company qBraid on Wednesday unveiled qBraid OS, software that quantum computer makers and operators can use to run their systems and offer them as a commercial service or for internal use. According to the announcement, the software manages access, scheduling and billing for a quantum processor, either on premises or in the cloud.
qBraid OS runs alongside Nvidia graphics processors and high-performance computing systems and uses Nvidia's CUDA-Q platform, for example for decoding in quantum error correction and for classical processing before and after each quantum job. It also offers reservations, usage metering and integration points for compilers and optimisers. Setup and operation can also be handled by AI agents within permissions set by the operator.
The company said the product builds on infrastructure qBraid developed for its own platform, which serves thousands of quantum developers and provides access to systems from 18 hardware providers. "Companies building quantum computers should be able to spend their time on the hardware," said qBraid Chief Executive Kanav Setia. The software is initially available to customers and partners through early access.
