Meta Platforms reported record third-quarter 2026 revenue of $64 billion. Analysts had expected $63.3 billion, according to Yahoo Finance, compared with $51.2 billion a year earlier. Earnings per share were $3.83, above expectations of $3.56.

Results were weighed down by a legal charge related to a settlement over teen mental health claims; excluding the charge, earnings per share would have been $7.40. Meta narrowed its full-year capital expenditure guidance to $135 billion to $145 billion from a previous range of $130 billion to $145 billion.

Meta also announced a 2-for-1 stock split, under which holders of Class A shares receive one non-voting Class C share each. According to Yahoo Finance, the move lets Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg keep control while the company funds its AI infrastructure build-out. The stock closed at $697.52 on Wednesday and rose about 5% to $733.07 after hours.
