Heading into the final qualifying events, the race for the ATP Finals in Turin remains wide open. According to the PIF ATP Live Race (as of 18 October), Alexander Zverev, who leads with 9,150 points, Carlos Alcaraz (4,600) and Ben Shelton (4,480) have qualified. Second-placed Jannik Sinner (7,950) is out for the rest of the season according to the ATP, which means ninth-placed Rafael Jódar currently effectively holds the final qualifying spot.

Ahead of the Spaniard (3,159) are Flavio Cobolli (3,540), Daniil Medvedev (3,420), Frances Tiafoe (3,380) and Arthur Fils (3,325). Alex de Minaur (2,880) trails Jódar by 279 points, with Novak Djokovic (2,840) a further 40 behind. Twelfth-placed Tommy Paul (2,585) is an outsider.

This week Cobolli plays in Lyon, Medvedev in Almaty and Fils is top seed in Brussels; according to Tennisnerd, Tiafoe has withdrawn from Lyon and Jódar is resting. Next week brings the 500-level events in Vienna – with Cobolli, Medvedev and De Minaur among others – and Basel, where Djokovic plays on a wild card alongside Fils and Jódar. The last stop before the cut-off is the Paris Masters.
