Daniel Dubois wants to fight Tyson Fury next year. “Definitely. That'll be ground-breaking. That'll be the next level for me,” the WBO heavyweight champion told Sky Sports. On Saturday Dubois retained his title by stopping Fabio Wardley in the second round of their rematch.
“Fury's a fighting man, I'm sure he would want it. Let's see how he does with AJ,” Dubois said. If Fury beats Anthony Joshua on 11 December, he will win the WBA ‘super’ title – and Dubois wants a unification fight with the winner. Dubois is sure that promoter Frank Warren, who works with both Fury and Dubois, would love to make the fight.
Before that, Dubois wants to box again soon, ideally against WBC champion Agit Kabayel or IBF champion Filip Hrgović. “Just anyone with a damn belt,” he said.
