RB Leipzig have taken Christoph Baumgartner to their Champions League game at Real Madrid. The 27-year-old Austria international injured a muscle in his right thigh on national-team duty in early June, was out for more than four months and missed the World Cup. He completed Tuesday's final training session, and the club posted: "Baumi is back!"

At the Santiago Bernabéu (9 p.m. German time), Baumgartner is mainly an option off the bench. Last season he scored 13 goals and added 10 assists in the league. Assan Ouédraogo has travelled after his shoulder injury but is not expected to play yet; Marc Guiu remains out.

Real Madrid's squad includes Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior and former Leipzig player Yan Diomande.
