Bayern Munich beat RB Leipzig 6-1 (3-0) on Bundesliga Matchday 6 and are top of the table again. Joshua Kimmich set up Luis Díaz for the opener in the 12th minute, and Aleksandar Pavlović – new in the starting line-up – made it 2-0 in the 26th. Díaz scored three times in total, and Serge Gnabry came on as a substitute.
Jonas Urbig was in goal once more. Manuel Neuer missed out with a foot injury; coach Vincent Kompany had said before the match: “It's the foot, not the thigh or the shoulder.” According to media reports, Neuer is expected to be available for Wednesday's Champions League game against Arsenal.
“The first 60 minutes were a very good performance,” Kimmich said after the match. Urbig added: “That ease in front of goal was back.”
