The Professional Fighters League (PFL) stages its first event in North Africa on Saturday in Casablanca. PFL Africa 3 at the Mohammed V Sports Complex features the 2026 semi-finals at welterweight, lightweight and bantamweight. According to Sherdog, the winners fight for the PFL Africa title later this year; a PFL post refers to $100,000 and the belt.
The heavyweight main event pits Senegal's Abdoulaye Kane (5-2) against Morocco's Badr Medkouri (9-3), who makes his PFL debut. Kane weighed 265.2 pounds and Medkouri 246.8. Eleven bouts are official. Only Angola's Shido Boris Esperanca missed weight, by one pound, ahead of his welterweight semi-final against Peace Nguphane, and he forfeits part of his purse.
In the other welterweight semi-final, Rivaldo Pereira meets unbeaten Nigerian David Samuel. At lightweight, Nigerians Patrick Ocheme and Cornel Thompson meet, as do Demba Seck (Senegal) and Hussain Al Kurdi (Chad); at bantamweight, Dwight Joseph (Liberia) faces Boule Godogo (Angola), among others.
