Hertha Berlin won the top-of-the-table clash of the 10th round of the 2. Bundesliga on Saturday, beating 1. FC Kaiserslautern 3-0 away after leading 1-0 at halftime. Sebastian Gronning scored in the 17th and 52nd minutes, and Oluwaseun Adewumi made it 3-0 in the 59th. Mads Pedersen set up two of the goals. The Fritz-Walter-Stadion was sold out.

It was a ninth win in 10 games this season for Stefan Leitl's side, who have also drawn once. According to Sportschau, Hertha broke a roughly 40-year-old 2. Bundesliga record for a start to a season. Striker Luca Schuler started on the bench. "Luca is currently not in the form we would like him to be in," Leitl said.

Hertha top the table with 28 points and a goal difference of 23-8, ahead of Wolfsburg on 19 points and Nuremberg on 18 with a game in hand. Kaiserslautern drop to fourth on 18 points.
