Scottish satirist Armando Iannucci, creator of the political series 'The Thick of It' and 'Veep', has lined up his next feature: a conspiracy thriller he has written and will direct himself. Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, James McAvoy and Taron Egerton will star. The title and plot details have not yet been announced.
The film is produced by Kevin Loader, who has worked with Iannucci before. Sales companies FilmNation and UTA are introducing the project to international buyers at the American Film Market (AFM) in Los Angeles. No shoot start or release date has been set.
It is Iannucci's fourth feature as director, after the political satire 'In the Loop' (2009), 'The Death of Stalin' (2017) and the Dickens adaptation 'The Personal History of David Copperfield' (2019).
