Rock in Rio Lisboa will return in 2028 on the weekends of June 17-18 and June 24-25, vice president Roberta Medina announced. The venue remains Parque Tejo, now called Parque Papa Francisco, on the Tagus riverfront in the Lisbon area. According to Rolling Stone Brasil, it will be the 12th edition.

Organizers say the 2026 edition drew about 330,000 people from 127 countries over four days. Medina described the share of foreign visitors as "residual," Radio Renascenca reported, and wants it to grow in 2028. According to Echo Boomer, organizers are also considering a dedicated river connection to the site.

A day ticket cost 89 euros in 2026. Medina did not rule out adjustments for 2028 but said increases would be "pouco significativos" (minor). The Rio de Janeiro edition follows in September 2028. The video is an official festival clip from 2024.
