The UFC's Halloween main event is set after Brazil's Renato Moicano weighed 156 pounds and opponent Tom Nolan 155.5 at Friday's official weigh-ins in Las Vegas. Both made the limit for their five-round lightweight bout, which headlines UFC Vegas 123 at the Meta Apex on Saturday. It is the first UFC main event for the 26-year-old Nolan, who according to Sherdog has won five straight fights. Moicano, 37, enters the cage with a record of 21 wins, seven losses and one draw.
The lone exception was Francis Marshall. He weighed 148 pounds for his featherweight bout with Dakota Hope, two pounds over the non-title limit, according to Uncrowned. "Marshall's miss was the lone blemish of Friday's proceedings in Las Vegas," the outlet wrote, adding that all 23 other fighters hit their marks. Sherdog reported that Marshall will be fined a percentage of his purse. The size of the fine was not immediately disclosed.
Welterweights Randy Brown and Jacobe Smith, who both weighed 170.5 pounds, meet in the second bout of the main card. Also on the card are Ode Osbourne against Cody Durden at flyweight and Yana Santos against Luana Santos. Preliminary bouts begin at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday, with the main card at 8 p.m. ET.
