British heavy metal band Saxon will tour Europe in March 2027 with the second part of their "Gods of Thunder World Tour". It supports the new album "Gods of Thunder", due on Jan. 22, 2027, according to Eventim; its themes include history, fantasy, horror, ancient mythology and pagan rituals. "We're bringing the 'Gods Of Thunder' tour across to Europe," Blabbermouth quoted singer Biff Byford as saying.
The tour opens in Brussels on March 1. In Germany the band plays Hamburg (March 3), Erfurt (March 10), Nuremberg (March 14), Stuttgart (March 16), Munich (March 20), Berlin (March 22, Huxleys Neue Welt) and Cologne (March 23, E-Werk). It plays Zurich's Volkshaus on March 17, and the final stop is Tilburg on March 24. No dates have been announced in Austria or Bulgaria.
According to Eventim, Cologne is the only German date with the full "Castles & Eagles" production, in which an eagle about nine metres tall, with a 12-metre wingspan and aircraft landing lights, hovers above the band. Blabbermouth says the show will also be staged in Brussels, Zurich and Tilburg. According to its magazine, Eventim starts selling tickets for the German shows today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Blabbermouth says general sale for most dates opens on Friday, Oct. 30, with Zurich on sale today.
