Swedish fashion company J.Lindeberg has appointed Henrik Bunge as its new chief executive. He takes up the post on 1 April 2027, succeeding Hans-Christian Meyer, who has led the company since June 2020. “Wir sind überzeugt, dass er die richtige Person ist, um J.Lindeberg in die Zukunft zu führen” (“We are convinced he is the right person to lead J.Lindeberg into the future”), said Lise Kaae on behalf of the board. Bunge previously worked for Peak Performance, Adidas and bed maker Hästens, among others.

A few days earlier, Bunge had announced he would step down after twelve years at the helm of Björn Borg. He will stay until the end of March 2027 and then serve as a senior adviser. “Es war ein Privileg, Björn Borg zwölf Jahre lang zu leiten” (“It has been a privilege to lead Björn Borg for twelve years”), he said. The board, chaired by Johanna Schottenius, has started the search for a successor.

At the same time, Björn Borg reported record third-quarter sales. Net sales rose 2.8 percent to 308.23 million Swedish kronor and operating profit 17.8 percent to 53.16 million kronor. Sales in Germany grew 34 percent to 30.99 million kronor. Underwear remained the largest category, up 5 percent.
