Taylor Swift was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame on Monday night at the Music City Center in Nashville. Brad Paisley, her former tourmate, gave the induction speech, and Lainey Wilson performed a stripped-down version of Swift's 'Love Story'. Inducted alongside her were songwriters Shawn Camp, Bruce Channel, Lyle Lovett and Lee Thomas Miller; George Strait received a career award, and J.I. Allison of Buddy Holly's Crickets was honoured posthumously in the Legacy category.

In her speech Swift recalled her early days in Nashville, writing songs on Music Row as a teenager, and thanked co-writer Liz Rose and producer Nathan Chapman, with whom she made her debut album 'Taylor Swift' – it turned 20 on 24 October. 'There is no music community like this music community,' she said, according to Rolling Stone. Of Paisley she joked: 'We've been estranged since 2007.'

According to Holler, Swift called Lainey Wilson 'one of the coolest people in the world'.
