Peugeot unveiled the RCZ Vision concept at the Paris Motor Show, reviving the name of its former sports coupe. The company says the electric coupe produces 500 PS and rides on Stellantis' STLA One platform with 1,000-volt architecture. Its solid-state battery is just 110 millimeters thick and was developed with Factorial Energy.
Peugeot cites a range of up to 600 kilometers and consumption of 11.5 kWh per 100 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, a figure still to be confirmed. Charging from 10% to 80% is said to take about 10 minutes. According to Carscoops, Peugeot has not committed to production, but design cues and technology will carry over to future models; the squared-off Hypersquare steer-by-wire wheel is due in the E-208 next year.
“With PEUGEOT RCZ Vision, we are setting out our vision with a car firmly focused on the future,” said Peugeot CEO Alain Favey. Design director Matthias Hossann said the concept gives the brand's Feline Future design language a new expression. The video is from Peugeot's official channel.
