Helene Fischer revealed the title and release date of her new album on Saturday evening at '10 Jahre Schlagerbooom' in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle: 'Wir' ('We') is out on 4 December. 'Tonight I'm dropping the bombshell,' she told host Florian Silbereisen. Of the record she said: 'It's an album for you. As simple as that.' And: 'There really is a bit of everything on it.'
Fischer had already presented the new songs 'Heute Nacht' and 'An meiner Seite' on her 360-degree stadium tour in the summer, and at the Schlagerbooom she sang the current single 'Warum'. Universal Music bills it as the singer's return after five years.
According to Schlagerpuls, the album is already available to pre-order. The next edition of 'Wetten, dass..?' airs one day after the release, on 5 December – whether Fischer will appear has not been confirmed.
