New rules apply in the national team under coach Jürgen Klopp. “There are simply more rules, like the phone at meals or so, that just doesn't belong,” 18-year-old Bayern player Lennart Karl said in a DAZN interview quoted by t-online. “On match day you're not allowed a phone in the dressing room either.”
Karl described the switch from Julian Nagelsmann to Klopp as an adjustment: “At the start it is of course a bit complicated to work with something like that.” With Klopp it is mostly about energy and defensive work, and you simply have to “go full throttle”. Working with him is “a lot of fun”.
Karl started the 0-0 in Greece, his fourth cap. He did not play in the 2-0 win over Serbia.
