Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga's marquee game of matchday six on Saturday at 18:30 local time. Third-placed Bayern are two points and two places above Leipzig but drew their last two games, 2-2 at Augsburg and 3-3 at Viking Stavanger in the Champions League. Leipzig arrive after a 6-0 win over Frankfurt and a 1-0 victory against PSV Eindhoven, though they have lost their last four league away games.
"We want to attack. We're playing at home. We're hungry," coach Vincent Kompany said, adding that his side were not far off their best version. Leipzig coach Martin Demichelis, who played seven seasons in Munich, promised a bold approach, saying his team needed greed, courage, passion and conviction against Bayern. He did not rule out rotating some positions.
According to the Bundesliga, Bayern are without Jamal Musiala (torn muscle fibre), while Kompany said captain Manuel Neuer was being assessed because of a foot problem. Leipzig are missing Christoph Baumgartner, Marc Guiu and Assan Ouédraogo. Earlier, unbeaten Borussia Dortmund visit Union Berlin at 15:30.
