Japanese lingerie brand Wacoal on 16 October introduced actor Rakul Preet Singh as its brand ambassador for India. The first joint project is the campaign 'In Pursuit of Beauty' for the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection. According to trade outlets Images Business of Fashion and BestMediaInfo, the campaign film combines scenes featuring Singh with glimpses of how the garments are designed and made. It presents beauty as a form of self-expression that grows through discovery, refinement and confidence.
The collection comprises four lines: Iris, Basic Mold with moulded everyday pieces, Embrace with lace panels and Cool Comfort with seamless, bonded construction. Pooja Merani, chief operating officer of Wacoal India, described beauty as an ongoing pursuit, expressed through the harmony of thoughtful design, refined craftsmanship and exceptional fit. Singh is quoted as saying: “I've always believed that the best version of you is the one you're still working on.”
Wacoal was founded in Japan in 1946, expanded to other Asian countries in the 1970s, to America in 1985 and to Europe in 1990. Its first Indian store opened in December 2015 at Grand Galleria, Palladium, in Mumbai. The new collection is offered on the brand's Indian website and in its stores across the country. The campaign film can be watched on YouTube.
