A bizarre start to the Bavarian derby: straight from kick-off, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer tried to dribble past Augsburg's Robin Fellhauer, the ball bounced off the forward and he rolled it into the empty net. Officially timed at 8.4 seconds, it is the fastest goal in Bundesliga history, beating the nine-second mark shared by Karim Bellarabi and Kevin Volland.
In front of 30,660 fans, Ismael Saibari equalised on 55 minutes, but Rodrigo Ribeiro restored Augsburg's lead ten minutes later. Late on, Nathaniel Brown rescued a 2-2 draw for the record champions.
After Dortmund drew 2-2 with Werder Bremen on Friday, Bayern had the chance to move top of the table but let it slip.
